Website for dentists: price, pages and example
A website for dentists has to make choosing the clinic feel safe: treatments and prices, help with acute toothache, who the dentists are, and an easy way to book an appointment. Here are the pages, the price, the rules and an example front page.
What should a website for dentists do?
It should answer new patients and help the ones who already come to you. New patients want to know whether you take them, and what it costs; regular patients look for phone hours and help when it hurts.
- Whether the clinic takes new patients, at the top of the front page.
- Phone hours and a clear way to emergency appointments for toothache.
- Treatments with prices: check-ups, cleaning, fillings, root canals, crowns, implants and whitening, if you offer it.
- A link to booking in your clinic system.
- Dentists, hygienists and dental assistants with name and photo.
- Access: parking, stairs, a lift and room for a wheelchair.
Which pages does the website need?
Start with 7 pages. That’s enough for a customer to find the answer and get in touch, and you can always add more:
- Home: who you are, where you are, whether you take new patients, and a booking button.
- Treatments: one page per treatment patients search for, such as implants and whitening.
- Prices: your prices for common treatments, and how the public health insurance subsidy is deducted.
- Toothache: phone hours, emergency appointments and what to do outside opening hours.
- Dental anxiety: how you look after nervous patients, if you do something special for them.
- About the clinic: the dentists and the team, training and memberships.
- Contact: phone, address, opening hours, parking and access.
How much does a website for dentists cost?
A website for dentists typically costs DKK 17,000–45,000 to have made by a freelancer and DKK 50,000–127,000 by a web agency, excluding VAT. Running costs come on top every year. Over three years, that adds up to DKK 34,000–104,000 with a freelancer and DKK 80,000–241,000 with an agency. Build it yourself in Striive and there’s no build fee: three years cost DKK 9,000–19,500.
| Freelancer | Web agency | Striive (you build it) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Build | DKK 17,000–45,000 | DKK 50,000–127,000 | No build fee |
| Running per year, from year 2 | DKK 5,500–19,500 | DKK 10,000–38,000 | DKK 3,000–7,000 |
| First year in total | DKK 22,000–65,000 | DKK 60,000–165,000 | DKK 2,500–6,500 |
| Three years in total | DKK 34,000–104,000 | DKK 80,000–241,000 | DKK 9,000–19,500 |
All amounts exclude VAT and come from our website cost calculator, built on Danish hourly rates: about DKK 500–900 an hour for freelancers and DKK 900–1,400 for agencies. Running costs are hosting, a domain, licences and a service agreement. Striive is DKK 99 a month incl. VAT for the first 4 months, then DKK 249 a month incl. VAT, plus your domain. Online booking and online payments aren’t in Striive yet, so Striive’s figures include a separate booking or shop tool until they arrive.
An agency usually counts five pages in its base price. A dental clinic with seven pages pays DKK 5,000–12,000 extra for those two pages before a line of copy is written, and a page per treatment makes the bill grow every time the clinic offers something new. In Striive you add a page yourself, with no extra bill.
What do customers search for when they need a dentist?
Customers type what they need and where they live. Typical searches (in Danish, as they’re typed):
- tandlæge [town]
- tandlæge [town] nye patienter
- akut tandlæge [town]
- tandlæge tandlægeskræk [town]
- implantat pris
- tandblegning pris [town]
Use the same words on your pages: the trade, the services and the towns and areas you cover. Give each page a title and a description that say it, and check how it looks in Google with our Google preview. More in how to get found on Google.
What makes customers choose you?
Trust. The customer doesn’t know you yet, so the website has to show you’re good at what you do:
- Name and photo of every dentist, so patients know who they’ll be sitting across from.
- Prices for common treatments, so nobody gets a surprise at the desk.
- Membership of the Danish Dental Association (Tandlægeforeningen), if you’re a member.
- Photos of the clinic and the waiting room, so a nervous patient knows what they’re walking into.
- A clear message about what you do for acute toothache.
What rules apply to a website for dentists?
The same as for every business, and a few for your trade. Every business must show its name, address, email and CVR number on its website (Danish E-commerce Act §7), have a privacy notice when it collects personal data through, say, a contact form, and get consent with a cookie banner before setting cookies for analytics or marketing. Prices for consumers must include VAT. The full list is in website requirements for businesses.
- Dentists are authorised health professionals, and your marketing must follow the Danish executive order on marketing of health services: it must be factual and not misleading. The Danish Patient Safety Authority (Styrelsen for Patientsikkerhed) supervises it, so check the current rules with them.
- Be careful with patient testimonials and before-and-after photos. Photos of patients need consent, and if you offer cosmetic treatments, stricter rules apply. Find them with the Danish Patient Safety Authority.
- Never ask for health information in an ordinary contact form. Point patients to your secure channel, such as messages in the clinic system or secure email.
- Dental treatment is generally exempt from VAT, but purely cosmetic treatments can be subject to it. Ask your accountant, and show prices as the patient pays them.
What could the front page look like?
Here’s how the top of the front page could read. The headline says what you do and where; the text under it says why to pick you and what to do next:
“Dentist in Viborg. We’re taking new patients.”
Check-ups, cleaning, implants and emergency help, with plenty of time for those who are nervous about the dentist. Book online, or call 12 34 56 78 on weekdays from 8 am.
How do you make a website for dentists with Striive?
You build it yourself, with AI to help. Plan on 11–23 hours for a site like this:
- Tell Striive about your business: what you do, where, and how customers reach you. Have an old website? Type its address, and Striive builds from it.
- The AI website builder builds your front page and up to four more pages, with text about what you actually do.
- Edit texts, prices and photos right on the page in the visual editor, or tell the AI assistant what to change.
- Add a contact form, and link to the booking system you use today. Online booking right in Striive is on the way.
- Connect your own domain, check the site on your phone, and publish.
Which mistakes should you avoid?
These turn up again and again on websites for dentists:
- The site doesn’t say whether you take new patients. It’s the first thing someone new to the area wants to know.
- No prices. Patients call round instead, and the line is busy.
- The toothache information is far down the contact page.
- Patient testimonials and before-and-after photos, without anyone checking the rules on marketing of health services.
- A contact form where patients describe their symptoms. That belongs in a secure channel.
Frequently asked questions
Be careful. Marketing of health services must be factual and not misleading, and photos of patients need their consent. Check the current rules with the Danish Patient Safety Authority before you use them.

Yourself in Striive: about 11–23 hours, spread over a couple of days, if your texts and photos are ready. With a freelancer or an agency, plan on 2–6 weeks, because design, texts and corrections go back and forth.
Yes. In Striive you edit texts, prices and photos right on the page, or tell the AI assistant what to change. You don’t pay a web designer for every change.
