A cookie banner for your website. It blocks until they say yes.

Striive has a cookie banner built into every website. Scripts and YouTube videos stay blocked until the visitor has said yes, rejecting takes one click, and every answer is recorded, at no extra cost.

The banner asks. The tracking has already started.

Plenty of Danish websites show a cookie banner and load YouTube, Facebook and analytics scripts before anyone has clicked. The banner is there, but it doesn’t do its one job. Fixing it usually means paying for a separate consent service and wiring it in yourself.

What’s included

Everything below is part of every Striive website.

  • Reject in one click. The reject and accept buttons have the same colour and the same weight.
  • Your own text on the banner, and a link to your cookie or privacy policy.
  • Six placements (the top or bottom edge, or one of the four corners) in dark, light, automatic or your own colours.
  • A small cookie button in the bottom-left corner, so visitors can always change their mind or withdraw consent.
  • A cookie declaration: a block you drop onto your privacy page that lists what the site loads, category by category. You never type it, so it can’t go out of date.
  • A consent log: each answer is kept for three years with a random ID, the time, the answers, the page and the banner text the visitor saw. No IP address. Export it all as CSV.
  • A refusal is remembered. By default, a visitor who says no isn’t asked again for 180 days, and a yes lasts a year. You can change both.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, if it sets cookies or similar tracking that isn’t strictly necessary, such as analytics, ads and most video embeds. A site that only uses strictly necessary cookies doesn’t need to ask. Our free cookie banner checker walks you through it.

Consent must come before non-necessary cookies are set, it must be an active choice with no pre-ticked boxes, saying no must be as easy as saying yes, and visitors must be able to withdraw consent just as easily. Visitors must also be told what the cookies are used for.

Only cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work, such as the cookie that remembers the visitor’s consent answer. Everything else needs a yes first.

No tool can do that on its own. Striive blocks content until consent, records answers and builds the declaration. Setting it up correctly for your business is up to you.

No. It’s part of every Striive website.

Three years after the answer. Each record holds a random ID, the time, the answers, the page and the banner text shown. No IP address.
