Help: getting started with Striive
Everything a new customer needs, step by step: from signing up to your own domain. The admin is in English, so the buttons are named the way you’ll see them.
Signing up and your first site
On the signup page, enter your site’s name and your email, and choose to pay monthly or yearly. Two boxes need a tick: one accepts the terms, the data processing agreement included, and one says you want your site to start right away. Then press Continue to payment, and pay on Stripe’s secure page. Have a promotion code? You enter it there.
As a consumer, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Because your site starts right away, the second box confirms that you understand you then lose it. Both boxes are required before we can take your payment.
After payment, you choose a password, and Striive sends you an email to confirm your address. You can build straight away, but you can only publish once the address is confirmed.
Then the start page builds your first site with you, in four steps:
- Your business: name and the facts about it.
- What kind of business it is.
- Whether you have a website. If you do, Striive can build from it, reading at most five of its pages, the home page first.
- A look: pick one, paste the address of a site you like, upload screenshots, or skip and choose later.
The AI then builds your home page and up to four more pages, and emails you when the site is built. It uses the facts you gave it and never makes up prices or phone numbers, so check the text and fill in what’s missing.

Editing in the visual editor
The editor shows your page the way visitors will see it, and you change things on the page itself.
- Pages: the Site tab in the explorer lists your pages. Add one with New page.
- Text: double-click any text and type straight onto the page.
- Images: upload them to the media library (the Media tab in the editor) and use them on any page.
- Saving: every change is saved as you go. There is no save button, and every change can be undone.
- Publishing: your changes stay a draft until you press Publish. Then they are live.

Your own domain
Every site starts on its own Striive address. When you’re ready, connect a domain you already own. The domain stays with your provider.
- Open Settings → Publishing, enter your domain under Connect a domain on the Domains card, and press Connect.
- Striive shows two DNS records: a TXT record that proves the domain is yours, and an A record that points it at Striive.
- Add both records at your domain provider. Set the TTL as low as it allows, at most 600 seconds.
- Striive checks every minute. Verifying usually takes a few minutes and can take up to an hour. The card shows Waiting for DNS, then Verified. A domain that isn’t verified within 7 days has to be added again.
- Press Make primary. The domain becomes your site’s main address, and visitors to the Striive address are sent on to it.
The HTTPS certificate is issued automatically. Your email records aren’t touched.

The AI assistant
Your plan includes USD 6 of AI use a month. On top of that, every new account gets a one-time USD 25 credit at signup, valid for 12 months. The monthly USD 6 is used first, then the credit.
When both are used up, the assistant pauses and asks before it does more. Only someone who manages billing for the site can choose Continue, bill overage. Everyone else is asked to get them to allow it. One yes covers the rest of the billing period, and the extra use comes on your next invoice.
You can see what you’ve used under Settings → AI and on Settings → Billing.

Billing
Striive costs DKK 311.25 a month including VAT (DKK 249 excluding VAT) or DKK 3,112.50 a year including VAT (DKK 2,490 excluding VAT). Everything about it is under Settings → Billing, which people who manage billing can see.
- Change card opens Stripe’s customer portal, where you change the card you pay with.
- Invoices lists your invoices, AI usage invoices included.
- You can switch between monthly and yearly billing.
- Cancel subscription stops it at the end of the period you have paid for. The site stays online until then, and you can change your mind with Keep my subscription.
If a renewal payment fails, you have a 14-day grace period. The site stays online, we email you, and Settings → Billing shows the date the site goes offline with a Pay now button.
If the invoice is still unpaid after 14 days, the site goes offline and the admin is locked. Nothing is deleted yet: paying the failed invoice, from the link in our email, unlocks the site and the admin. If it stays unpaid, the site is deleted 90 days after the lock. We remind you along the way and warn you 7 days before.
