Online booking on your own website. Fewer calls.

An online booking system lets customers book a time on your website, day and night. Online booking isn’t in Striive yet. It’s on our roadmap. The plan is a booking block you add in the editor, so customers book on your site, not someone else’s page.

Not in Striive yet, but it’s on our roadmap. Here’s what you can do today. Roadmap

Booking by phone. Or on someone else’s site.

A hairdresser, a physio or a massage therapist spends part of every day on the phone, booking times. The alternative is a booking system that sends customers off to a separate page, with someone else’s logo and a monthly fee of its own.

What is online booking?

Online booking means the customer finds a free time and books it themselves, without calling or waiting for a reply. You decide which services you offer, how long they take and when you’re available. The system shows only the times that are actually free, and sends a confirmation.

It suits any business that works by appointment: hairdressers, beauty salons, clinics, physios, massage therapists, driving instructors and consultants.

How online booking is planned to work in Striive

The first version is planned as a booking block for any page:

  1. You set up your services and how long each one takes.
  2. You set when you’re available.
  3. You add the booking block to a page in the editor.
  4. The customer picks a service and a free time on your website.
  5. You both get a confirmation email with a calendar file to add to your calendars.

What’s in the plan

Beyond the booking itself, the plan covers what a small business with appointments needs:

  • Booking on your own domain, in your own design, not on a separate booking page.
  • Times handled in the right time zone.
  • Several locations and several team members, each with their own availability: a clinic with two therapists, or a salon in Aarhus and one in Aalborg.
  • Later: calendar sync with Google, Microsoft and CalDAV calendars.
  • Later: paying when you book, together with online payments.

What will online booking cost?

Online booking will be part of your Striive plan, DKK 311.25 a month including VAT (DKK 249 excluding VAT), with no booking add-on. Bookings without an online payment carry no fee.

When a customer pays for a booking online, Striive takes a platform fee of 1.5% of the payment, on top of Stripe’s own processing fee, which Stripe charges you directly. If you refund the payment, the 1.5% is refunded too.

Booking system on its own, or built into the website?

Many small businesses use a separate booking system and link to it from their website. It works, but the customer leaves your site, sees another logo, and you pay for two systems. Built into the website, booking is part of the page the customer already trusts.

What you can do today

Until the booking block is ready, you can take booking requests on your Striive site:

  • Put a booking request form on your site. The customer picks a service from a dropdown and writes when suits them.
  • Each request is saved in your admin, and the site’s admins get an email when a new one arrives. Confirm by phone or email.
  • Already use a booking service? Link to it from a button on any page.

Frequently asked questions

Not yet. A booking block is on the roadmap. Today you can use a booking request form, or link to your current booking service from a button.

Calendar sync with Google, Microsoft and CalDAV is planned for after the first version. The first version is planned to send a calendar file with each confirmation.

Paying when you book is planned for a later version, together with online payments. Paid bookings will carry Striive’s 1.5% platform fee on top of Stripe’s own processing fee.

No booking add-on: booking will be part of the plan at DKK 311.25 a month including VAT (DKK 249 excluding VAT). Bookings your customers pay for online carry a 1.5% platform fee on the payment, on top of Stripe’s own fee.

Yes, that’s the plan. Several team members and several locations, each with their own availability, are part of the plan.

Not once the booking block launches. Booking is planned to be part of your Striive site. Until then, you can use a request form or link to the booking system you already have.
