Website integrations: booking, payments, e-conomic and Dinero

Website integrations connect your site to the systems you already use, and a freelancer typically charges DKK 3,000–10,000 to set up online booking and DKK 15,000–40,000 for a web shop with payments, excluding VAT. At an agency it’s DKK 10,000–25,000 and DKK 40,000–120,000. Every integration with cookies also has to go into your cookie banner, and some of them aren’t built into Striive yet. Here is all of it, honestly.

Which integrations does a small business website need?

Most small businesses need two or three, not ten. These are the ones people ask for most:

IntegrationWhat it doesTypical solution
Online bookingCustomers find a free slot and book it themselves.A booking system with its own subscription, linked from or embedded on the site
PaymentsCustomers pay a deposit, a service or goods online.A payment provider such as Stripe, or a web shop
Accounting (e-conomic, Dinero)Sales and invoices land in your bookkeeping by themselves.A connector between the shop or payments and the accounting software
NewsletterVisitors sign up for your emails.A sign-up form or a link from your newsletter provider
Google AnalyticsCounts visits and shows where they come from.A script on every page
Google Business ProfileShows you on Google Maps and in local searches.Links both ways, with the same name, address and phone
Facebook or Meta pixelMeasures your ads and builds audiences.A script on every page
ChatVisitors write to you straight from the site.A chat window from a chat provider, added as a script

What does it cost to have integrations set up?

Booking and a shop are the expensive integrations. A freelancer charges DKK 3,000–10,000 for booking and DKK 15,000–40,000 for a shop, an agency DKK 10,000–25,000 and DKK 40,000–120,000. Scripts such as analytics and pixels take a few hours, and accounting depends entirely on which systems have to talk to each other.

All amounts exclude VAT. Always ask who maintains the integration when one of the systems changes, and what that costs.

What does a website with booking cost over three years?

A five-page website with online booking costs DKK 32,000–99,000 over three years with a freelancer and DKK 75,000–229,000 with an agency. With Striive and a separate booking system it’s DKK 9,000–19,500. More in website with booking.

All amounts exclude VAT and come from our website cost calculator, built on Danish hourly rates: about DKK 500–900 an hour for freelancers and DKK 900–1,400 for agencies. Running costs are hosting, a domain, licences and a service agreement. Striive is DKK 99 a month incl. VAT for the first 4 months, then DKK 249 a month incl. VAT, plus your domain. Online booking and online payments aren’t in Striive yet, so Striive’s figures include a separate booking or shop tool until they arrive.

Which integrations does Striive have today, and which are on the way?

Striive has the basics today, but not booking, payments, accounting or analytics yet. Here is the status of each:

How do you handle booking, payments and accounting until they’re built in?

You can get most of it working today with the tools you already have:

  1. Keep your booking system, and put a clear “Book now” button on the website that links to it.
  2. If you don’t have a booking system, make a contact form for enquiries, and confirm the time yourself.
  3. Invoice from e-conomic or Dinero, as you usually do.
  4. Add your analytics tool as a script, and give it the statistics category in the cookie banner.
  5. Link to your Google Business Profile, and use the same name, address and phone in both places.

Frequently asked questions

Usually through a web shop or a payment provider that passes sales on to the accounting software. In Striive an accounting integration is planned after online payments, but isn’t ready yet.

Scripts and links can be added again in minutes. Integrations programmed for the old platform usually have to be redone.
